The 2006 recipient of the James Likens Award has over 20 years in the financial services industry. A former banker, he attended WCMS three months after beginning a new career at his first credit union 16 years ago. When asked to describe that experience he said, "It turned me on my ear!" Through his WCMS experience he grew from a technician to a leader. He was President of his class all three year and Graduate Assistant the following year. This year's winner, John Janclaes, a Rho, class of 1995, described his career this way: it's not a profession - it's a vocation!
